The Synchronic Wastegates feature 6 different boost settings per spring combination. Fine tuning the boost level is also available using the preload adjuster. Both the 50mm and 40mm gates now come with 2 preload springs and 2 main springs to suit a wider range of boost levels right out of the box. All wastegates also come with 2 different diameter valve seats to combat boost taper/creep, and a high temp, high pressure sealing ring for installation without having to use gaskets. Units come with a nitrited, one piece, forged, tooling-grade crucible steel valve designed for a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The nitriding has resulted in a significant reduction or eliminiation of chemical deposition on the valve surface, and a higher surface hardness.
50mm wastegates are designed to be used with 2.5" V-Band clamps, and 40mm wastegates are designed to use the common 38mm 2 bolt flange.
Universal 2-Bolt Synchronic wastegate kit without flanges and mounting hardware included anti-corrosion silver anodizing

Synapse Engineering is a world leader in the design and development of turbocharger and boosted components. It was founded in 1999 in San Diego, California by Peter Johann Medina to address specific product needs in the automotive performance and racing aftermarket that were not being well addressed. By 2002, Synapse Engineering’s first groundbreaking technology, Synchronic, had been developed. Formal intellectual property assets in a utility patent were granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2005. From that point on, turbocharger control products, particularly compressor bypass valves and external wastegates, were made commercially available based on the Synchronic technology.
Synchronic, essentially, features a redesigned geometry of the fluid powered actuator. With that newfound technology, Synapse Engineering is able to counter-bias high-working forces, modify actuation from a binary to a quaternary logic, and boast one of the fastest operating actuator mechanisms since the brand’s original invention.
Synapse Engineering focuses on delivering cutting-edge turbocharger control products that deliver innovation through research and development. Synapse is at the vanguard of the motorsports realm in the performance and racing aftermarket as a leading manufacturing performance turbocharger controls, systems, and accessories. The majority of Synapse Engineering’s products are universal in terms of application and are race-proven to enhance the performance of turbocharged engines.
Synapse Engineering currently offers diverter valves, blow-off valves, wastegates, and piping kits. Customers can use Synapse products for a wide range of applications, including import and domestic cars, diesel trucks, turbocharged snowmobiles, powerboats, turbocharged jet skis, and even tractor pullers. The prevalence of turbochargers in performance applications is what influences the company’s development of new product lines that include intercoolers, intercooler piping kits, boost controllers, exhaust systems, and forthcoming electronic fuel/ignition controllers.
If you are looking to upgrade your turbocharged vehicle with Synapse Engineering parts, you have come to the right place. Vivid Racing carries a virtually endless list of Synapse products, including blow-off valve kits, wastegates, universal heat shields, turbo hoses, diverter valves, resonators, silicone couplers, cold air intakes, and springs. Our inventory also includes adapters, flanges, switches, boost connect kits, and harnesses. To learn more about Synapse Engineering, please contact our specialized sales team at (480) 966-3040.
