The FX400 6-Puck is the ultimate extreme duty street and/or road/drag racing clutch system. This clutch is designed for those pushing their Mini Cooper turbo engines to the limit and routinely participate in road coarse, autocross, or other forms of racing that are very hard on clutches. The sprung hub design allows for moderate dampening in high-torque applications, rendering it much more street friendly than solid or rigid designs, however, the ceramic 6-puck paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter that may not be ideal for street driven vehicles. This disc is designed for outstanding holding capacity, and rapid heat dissipation.

Every Clutch Masters flywheel is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA. Flywheels are first designed in CAD and are then precision CNC machined in house in one of or Haas CNC lathes out of 6061 aluminum or 1045 steel billet cores. After machining, the flywheel is zero balanced to ensure it is evenly weighted on all sides and spins 100% true. Each aluminum flywheel is Type 3 Hard Anodized for the ultimate in durability and protection of the aluminum. All steel flywheels are black oxide coated to add a layer of rust prevention and gives our steel flywheels a unique black finish. The flywheel is then assembled by a Clutch Master Craftsman, double checked for imperfections and tolerances, and is then ready to be paired with your OEM clutch kit or one of our FX100-FX500 single disc clutch kits or twin disc options. All flywheels are SFI 1.2 Certified for use in motorsports.

The FX400 System uses our Hi-Leveragetm Pressure Plate with a custom and extremely durable, Sprung Ceramic disc. This is the ultimate extreme duty street and/or road/drag racing system. It is available in a 6 or 8 ceramic puck configuration. The 6-puck being the more aggressive setup and 8-puck being the less aggressive (please specify which type you prefer). The sprung hub design allows for moderate dampening in high-torque applications, rendering it much more street friendly than solid or rigid designs. This disc is designed for outstanding holding capacity, and rapid heat dissipation.

The FX400/HDCL ceramic full disc design creates a quick and rapid engagement and maintains minimal chatter due to the marcel cushion between the disc linings. This disc is designed for street driven vehicles.

The FX400/HDC6 ceramic paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter that may not be ideal for street driven vehicles.

Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design, the FX400 6 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem, we only use premium ceramic friction material.

All stages come as a complete kit including disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing (when applicable), and alignment tool. (Individual components available upon request)

Ceramic based clutch disc are not intended to increase the life expectancy of a clutch but rather to increase the holding capacity and improve the durability of the clutch. Using a ceramic based material for easy street driving may reduce the life of the clutch kit due to harsh engagement and higher tendency to slip the clutch kit. Ceramic disc are never recommended for stock or near stock vehicle applications.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Clutch Masters performance clutch products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Clutch Masters does not warrant or make any representations concerning its clutch products when not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for such installation and maintenance practices of the automotive industry.

Clutch Masters will not be liable for labor charges and other intangible or consequent losses that might be claimed as a result of the failure of any part, nor shall they be liable for damages or injury to any persons or property resulting from the misuses or improper installation of any part subject to this warranty.

Clutch Masters reserves the right to examine all parts returned for warranty claim to determine whether or not any such part has failed because of a defect in material or workmanship. Clutch Masters' obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing, replacing, or crediting, at their option, any part found to be defective. The customer must prepay all freight charges on the return of such parts. There are no other warranties either expressed or implied, which extend beyond those set forth in the preceding paragraphs.
