Presented in SEMA in 2018, the Advan R6 is one of the newer models in Yokohama Wheel Design’s arsenal. The one-piece 6-spoke design is forged from A6061-T6 aluminum. This means that it is 100% aluminum, unlike most forged wheels that only have 80% aluminum in their wheels.
While maintaining the sleek, exquisite lines, the 6 spokes are carefully elongated into the 20-inch form. And look closely at the concave shape, with the spokes on the inner side of the step rim, which results in uniquely curving lines. Advanced side cuts on the curved spokes bring them together at the inner forks, not only reducing weight but also highlighting the curves. Then the stepped deep rim, a special feature of the R6 wheel, strengthens the visual impact of the large-diameter wheels.
Wrought from advanced processing techniques like mold-form-forging Yokohama Advan R6 wheels are some of the best wheels on the market when it comes to stiffness and weight. As a testament to that, we weighed a 20x10 +35 wheel. It weighs only 21.95 lbs. A 20x12 +20 wheel weighs 23 lbs. These wheels are 20 inch diameters and those are lightweight wheels just when you see how big they are.
