ARMYTRIX VALVETRONIC: HOW IT WORKS- BRIEF OVERVIEW:As an ARMYTRIX fan, customer, or potential customer, you have likely heard of Valvetronic. It's one of the prominent selling features of ARMYTRIX exhaust systems and has shifted the entire exhaust industry towards adopting similar technology in all exhaust systems. The whole point of the Valvetronic system is to give you an option for how loud you want your motorcycle to be. If you leave early in the morning for work, you probably don't want your motorcycle to be excessively loud, as it will upset your neighbors. Once you're out on the open road or shredding a canyon road, you want to hear those awesome noises your motorcycle makes.

The Valvetronic system allows you to switch between being quiet and being loud with the push of a button via the included remote or through the smartphone application; this works by tapping into a vacuum source on your engine and connecting it to the control module. When you press the button on the remote or smartphone application, you are communicating with the OBDII module via Bluetooth. This OBDII module tells the exhaust valve module to allow the engine vacuum to open or close the exhaust valve. You can also set the exhaust valve module to an automatic mode which will open/close the exhaust valve based on predetermined RPM range or throttle position.

Aside from getting a brutal sound with the Valvetronic system open, you can also gain power, especially if your motorcycle is turbocharged. Depending on the motorcycle, modifications, and tune you have, the valve being open will also the exhaust gas to flow more freely, as it does not have to pass through any muffler. If your motorcycle is turbocharged, you may see a slight increase in boost pressure depending if you are running an open or closed boost cycle, resulting in more horsepower.

Who is Armytrix?

Armytrix is a relatively young exhaust company, made popular by their Valvetronic technology. They weren’t the first to offer valved exhaust systems, but they were one of the first companies to offer affordable valved exhaust systems.

Combining the knowledge of German and Japanese engineers, Armytrix develops high-end exhaust systems without high-end pricing. By using high-grade titanium and T304 stainless materials, their exhaust systems offer superb build quality at an approachable price.

Why Choose Armytrix?

There are lots of aftermarket companies who offer exhaust systems, so why should you choose Armytrix? As stated above, their use of high-quality materials combined with top-notch engineering allows them to build exceptional exhaust systems. From BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes, Honda, Nissan, Porsche, Volkswagen, and more, Armytrix exhaust systems are designed to make power and sound awesome.

Performance

The main reason for installing an aftermarket exhaust is to increase performance. By reducing exhaust restrictions and improving flow, your engine can create more power. By increasing the exhaust diameter compared to stock and optimizing the path of the exhaust, Armytrix exhaust systems offer a big increase in performance. On top of the power gains, the high-quality material Armytrix also reduce weight!

Sound

Aside from performance gains, sound is the other benefit of an aftermarket exhaust system. Material, muffler shape and size, piping size, and many other factors determine how an exhaust system sounds. Armytrix builds their exhaust systems around their Valvetronic system, providing an epic sound with the valves open and a relatively quiet sound with the valved closed.

How Does Valvetronic Work?

As we mentioned, Armytrix’s Valvetronic system is one of the defining features that separates them from other aftermarket exhaust companies. This system works by using an integrated valve to direct exhaust gases either through a muffler or around it.

The OBDII module tells the exhaust valve module to allow the engine vacuum to open or close the exhaust valve.

You can also set the exhaust valve module to an automatic mode which will open/close the exhaust valve based on predetermined RPM range or throttle position.
