Enkei Racing Series NT03+M Wheels

Enkei

One of the stalwarts of the aftermarket wheel industry, Enkei has always produced wheels that are subtle, beautiful, and yet can stand the abuse of racing.

Enkei is also a household name in the world of motorsports. The experience they gained in motorsports in producing lightweight, stiff wheels that take a lot of abuse. And because of that, each wheel in Enkei’s lineup can be used for racing since every wheel passed the stringent JGTC standards

Trivia: Did you know that in 1995, Honda-Mclaren’s Formula 1 car used magnesium wheels made by Enkei?

The wheel they used and learned a lot from turned out to be Enkei’s most iconic wheel: the RPF1.

Spec-E

All Enkei wheels are engineered to pass rigorous testing. Enkei established their own test standard called “Spec-E,” which is tougher than JWL requirements. Enkei’s Spec-E test setting requires a higher drop point in the impact test and 20% more cycles for the rotary bending fatigue and dynamic radial fatigue tests than JWL standards. The Spec-E represents Enkei’s confidence in its technology and quality.

MAT Technology

Enkei developed a process to produce the next level in aftermarket aluminum wheels.

The Most Advanced Technology combines one-piece cast wheel technology with a rim forming technology called spinning process. Using this technique of casting and rim forming is critical to improving the material property and strength of the wheels. Rim-Rolled technology shapes the rim to improve material elongation without sacrificing the wheels’ hardness.

This hybrid process of casting and forging gives wheel high material strength while keeping manufacturing costs less than forged wheels.

Another trivia: Did you know that Enkei licensed Konig to use this technology for their wheels? No? Well, now you do.

NT03+M

It’s not every day you see a new wheel design element that looks so random yet so purposeful. For example, the extra ring on the NT03+M that makes the wheel’s center cap look like the planet Saturn.

It’s called a perimeter brace ring than improves strength and durability. It allows the wheels to withstand distorting forces in hard cornering situations, resulting in exceptionally responsive steering and stiffness.

The NT03+M also sports a racing twin-valve design that provides precise monitoring while fine-tuning pressure. A dual step lip, meanwhile, makes the wheel even stronger while demonstrating its superb quality and level of craftsmanship.
