Continental's announcement has launched its latest ExtremeContact DWS06 summer quality tire that arrives from the remarkable and made-of-rubber register. It is no easy feat to set out to boost the efficiency standards of an already established winning tire, but that is precisely what the latest Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 intends to do. This ultra-high performance all-season tire, three years in the making, features new technologies that Continental believes would make it the class pioneer in all-season UHP tires.
Checked to the limits by championship-winning racing drivers, even the most challenging driver would be happy with the ExtremeContact DWS06 tire. In dry and wet environments, this responsive, ultra-high performance street tire is constructed using Continental SportPlus technology for intense grip.
Together with Continental's exclusive SportPlus technology, bigger outside tread blocks and the prolonged center rib of the tires offer this tire faster directional stability and feel while distributing the form of cornering grip and consistency you would anticipate from a summer performance tire. This is a region that puts it in its category among the best tires.
The new SportPlus innovation and a tread compound with additional silica and+Silane ingredients aim to improve traction on wet road surfaces, offer more excellent precise handling, and provide a longer-lasting tread life. Even though it is slightly different from the official version, the asymmetric tread pattern remains familiar.
By incorporating Traction Grooves and using X-Sipe technology across the tread, the DWS06 solves some difficulties with its predecessors regarding dry and wet traction. In terms of grip in the rain or snow and much better cornering and braking efficiency, which is very strong on this tire, the mix of the two gives this tire considerable improvement.

ExtremeContact DWS06 tires include QuickView markers to help detect vehicle misalignment problems early in developing the tire before shaping wear patterns and validate appropriateness by Tuned Performance Indicators for different driving conditions. Tuned Performance Indicators are noticeable letters from the outboard shoulder shaped into the second rib to warn drivers of the tire's overall performance.
For dry weather and rainy roads and snow, a clear "DWS" means the tire has sufficient tread depth. The residual "DW" means the tire only has enough tread depth for dry and most muddy road conditions after the "S" has worn down. And the remaining "D" means that the tire has enough tread depth only for dry weather after the "W" and "S" have both worn down.
