With its lightweight, rotary forged emerging technologies, Forgestar has designed and manufactured the D5, which results in increased load rating and the overall weight savings.
By a structured system, rotary forged flow forming, Forgestar D5 Drag Gloss Black with Silver machined wheels are accurately developed. This wheel is offered with size ranging from 15", 17", 18". This process produces wheels that are lightweight as well as solid. To produce wheels that meet your standards, the D5 wheels are built, evaluated, and tested.
Vivid Racing is proud to release the 15" and 17" Forgestar D5 Drag Wheel. The D5 is one of the first forged beadlock drag wheels manufactured in Gloss Black w/ Machined Lip. With its lightweight, rotary forged emerging technologies, Forgestar has designed and manufactured the D6 Beadlock, which results in increased load rating and the overall weight savings.
This Forgestar D5 Beadlock wheel for drag racing has a complete beadlock structure. It is the first of its kind, and we are pleased to help achieve 1/4 mile times faster for high-powered drag vehicles. There are both beadlock and non-beadlock choices available. Large brake clearance, I-beam stabilization of the spokes machining operation, Rotary forged production, 6061 beadlock ring, and bead knurling have already been integrated into the design, making it solid and awesome.

Every specific Forgestar F14 Drag wheel is manufactured at the in house Forgestar factory. Personalization available options include wheel measurements, finishes, and offsets.
A perfect solution to a simple occurrence is the Rotary Forged Flow forming method of Forgestar - this process is all about making a wheel, both lightweight and sturdy. This advanced method starts with a low-pressure form of casting and requires a special machine that spins the initial forging, torches the outer part of the casting, and then pulls the Forgestar S18 wheels to its final structure and form using steel rollers pressed against the rim layer.
The temperature, stress, and the spinning combination produces a rim area with a strength comparable to that of a forged wheel. The pressure applied to the Forgestar S18 rim during Flow Forming directly impacts its material characteristics, so its toughness and influence values become identical to those of a forged rim. Compared to a typical forged wheel, that translates to up to 15 percent less in mass. The subsequent grain structure is linear, flowing in a particular direction within the alloy of the rim.
Forgestar Technology crosses the difference between forged wheels and cast wheels in the world's most luxurious luxury and premium machinery. Forgestar can produce a lightweight cast wheel with the strength and impact values that mimic a forged wheel with its revolutionary rotary shape production process. Flow Forming is a production procedure that turns the wheel (or rim section) over a special mandrel and three hydraulic rollers using tremendous pressure. During Flow Forming, the pressure applied to the cast rim changes its mechanical properties, so its strength and impact values become similar to those of a forged rim. That translates to up to 15% less weight when compared to a standard cast wheel.
