Open Country R/T is a Toyo's On-/Off-Road Commercial Traction tire designed for pick-up truck drivers, jeeps, crossovers and SUVs who want aggressive looks and excellent all-terrain traction combined with satisfying on-road comfort. The Open Country R/T is designed for off-road capability that matches the Off-Road Maximum Traction tire plus noise and ride comfort closer to the On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire.
The long-lasting, all-terrain compound of the Open Country R/T is molded into a high-profile pattern. The aggressive, functional design focuses on traction under the toughest conditions, while also providing a quiet and comfortable experience. Open shoulder blocks feature a scalloped design to enhance traction in loose terrain, while stone and mud ejectors aid self-cleaning and help prevent stone drill damage. Deep, wide grooves allow easy water removal from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance, while sipes and block edges aid traction in slippery conditions, including snow.

The Open Country R / T three-ply polyester casing improves durability and handling, and the high turn-up further contributes to the resistance of the sidewall puncture. The rugged sidewall compound helps prevent off-road cuts, snags and penetrations, and the design of the upper sidewall improves traction in deep terrain or during aerated operation. Two wide, high-strength steel belts are reinforced with two nylon cap folds to further increase handling and durability.
Off-road performance meets on-road comfort with the all-new Open Country R/T. Rugged for any terrain, this tire offers excellent off-road traction, durable construction and aggressive styling.
