The Roadsport 2 motorcycle tires are an evolution of the widely used Dunlop RoadSport, and as such, they are able to produce greater predictability, increased feedback, and improved grip than their predecessor. All of Dunlop's radial street tires are designed using a combination of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and also JointLess Belt (JLB) construction (either front or rear). JLB construction eliminates belt overlaps, resulting in a much more stable contact patch and smoother handling. CTCS (Carcass Tension Control System) helps regulate the distribution of casing anxiety for a comfortable ride. In addition to a quick warm-up time, the new HCT (Heat Control Technology) integrates a long-lasting outer compound with a heat-generating and performance-improving base layer for maximum durability and enhanced grip. The construction of the RoadSport 2 tires is a combination of HISILICA and fine carbon. A higher silica content is used to increase the flexibility of a compound at low temperatures and to lower a compound's reliance on temperature in order to provide optimal traction in wet and less-than-ideal conditions and to increase mileage. At the micro molecular level, increased road contact improves adhesion. Furthermore, the material is reinforced quite effectively, increasing its resistance to abrasion.
