The SP Sport 7010 DSST CTT is a Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology (DSST) Extreme Performance All-Season run-flat tire designed for the all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R super sports car. The SP Sport 7010 DSST CTT was designed as a Combined Technology Tyre (CTT) by integrating car and motorcycle tire production and manufacturing steps to improve ride quality while offering immediately enhanced flexibility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph even after a puncture has permitted full air pressure loss. Like all Extreme Performance All-Season tires, these tires are not designed to be serviced, stored, or operated in temperatures close to or below zero (snow).
A high-grip, silica-reinforced tread compound is formed into an asymmetric tread pattern with a CTT profile to blend ride ease, stability, and traction on the SP Sport 7010 DSST CTT. Large outboard shoulder blocks and continuous middle ribs improve cornering strength and initial responsiveness. Three circumferential grooves are paired with notched inboard intermediate and shoulder ribs to help resist aquaplaning. The tire's internal construction is supported by twin steel belts covered in Dunlop's JointLess Band (JLB) spirally wrapped polyamide for high-speed endurance and consistent ride consistency. The SP Sport 7010 DSST CTT tires have hardened sidewalls and are engineered to withstand the car's weight even though air pressure is lost.
