But the two sought after features are that it must be beautiful and it must be concave. The SSR Executor EX06 covers these bases and then some.
SSR's EX06 is a two-piece wheel consisting of an outer rim, an inner rim. That piece is made of a slightly different aluminum alloy to ensure that the strength and lightness are evenly distributed within the wheel. This is what SSR is all about: wheels that not only look good but in just about every aspect, but also equally important is that this set of high-end race wheels should outperform the competition.
The two-piece EX06 features a barrel as one piece and a face as the second piece. The advantage of the 2 piece is SSR's ability to have a variety of offsets that can be calculated in millimeter units. The barrel starts out as a flat piece of circular aluminum which is then sent through a press machine shaping it into a barrel. At this point the material is very dense allowing the barrel to be lightweight and strong. The barrel is then separated into sections to become multiple wheels and is sent to the polishing process. Each separated barrel is then precisely inserted with the completed face of the rim and is welded inside barrel based on the choice of offset.
With weight and high strength in mind, each section of the wheel is engineered using separate grades and thickness of aluminum according to its purpose. SSRs racing heritage and manufacturing innovations have allowed the creation of EX06 that is both super lightweight and high in strength.

After the forging or casting process, which depends on the model, once the wheel is fully cooled, it undergoes a heat treatment which makes it even stronger and lighter than it already is. The wheel's inner barrel is then heated a second time as the interior of a wheel is generally where much of the tension happens in just about every driving situation. This heating makes the barrel as light as a feather and capable of withstanding tremendous amounts of energy, even in racing environments.
