What Makes SSR Minerva Wheels Special?

SSR wheels have been bred on the track since 1971. They make racing wheels that are sought after by racers and car enthusiasts a like. But that doesn’t mean they haven’t anything to offer. Aside from the Speed Star series of wheels which were made for old school automobiles, SSR also offers the Minerva wheel for those looking to ramp up the attitude of their luxury sedans, coupes, convertibles, or grand tourers.

SSR integrates the latest technology in making the Minerva luxury wheel. It is of a three-piece construction which consists of an outer rim, inner rim, and center disk that allows SSR to provide a wide variety of offsets, ensuring that the vehicle is properly equipped. The inner rim of the wheel is heat treated for energy, using the HTM (Heat Treatment Manufacture) method that allows for lighter weight using a thinner material.

SSR’s Heat Treatment Manufacture

After the wheels go through a spinning process during manufacturing they are heat treated for a second time. This application of heat increases the strength of the wheel. As a result, the wheels are lighter and stronger making them ideal for hard tuned race cars and heavier vehicles.

With weight and high strength in mind, each section of the Minerva is engineered using separate grades and thickness of aluminum according to its purpose. SSR's racing heritage and manufacturing innovations have allowed the creation of a 3-piece wheel that is both super lightweight and high in strength.

The Minerva has a bold split 5-spoke design inside a deep dished rim giving your car the attitude you long for. It is available in 19 and 20 inch diameters.
