In order to ensure that the Method MR103 HD Beadlock Wheel has an appropriate fitment on every vehicle, it is available in sizes 17x9 and 6x6.5 with a bold pattern. Due to the fact that it is available in a wide range of sizes and configurations, the Method MR103 HD Beadlock Wheel has been engineered to guarantee a flawless installation on a diverse range of automobile models and manufacturers. In addition to that, these wheels come with a center cap that has a hole in it so that it can be pushed through and has the Method Race Wheel logo etched on it
These wheels are constructed out of solid A356 aluminum and treated with a unique heat treatment; the shorter spokes have a wide five bolt pattern; and material reduction was used in the hub to lower the total weight. The beadlock ring, made of forged 6061 aluminum with a V.4 profile, and hardware kit with a grade 8 zinc plating are both included. In addition, multiple redundant sets of threaded beadlock hardware holes are drilled into the wheel, providing strong load ratings of between 1900 and 3200 pounds.
A conventional wheel's seal between the tire bead and rim is maintained exclusively by tire inflation pressure. A normal wheel is distinguished from a beadlock wheel by its reliance on the clamping forces produced by the tightening of a set of bolts that thread into the wheel and apply pressure to the beadlock ring. This action mechanically clamps and seals the tire's outer bead to the wheel. The fact that the seal between the tire and the wheel is maintained regardless of the inflation pressure is the primary benefit of using a beadlock wheel as opposed to a normal wheel. This is a quality that is advantageous for off-road use and involves the use of lower inflation pressures in order to improve traction by increasing the size of the tire contact patch on loose surfaces and to reduce the ride harshness that is experienced while traveling over rough terrain by lowering the effective spring rate of the tire.
