Installation Made Easy
The 20-0481-FL Catch Can Kit attaches directly to the firewall without any fuss. It runs inline with the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve, maintaining its original function. When the intake manifold pressure approaches or exceeds atmospheric levels, the PCV check valve closes, preventing flow through the hose. However, during idling, cruising, or deceleration, the system allows for ??metered?? vacuum, which is essential for keeping crankcase vapors, unspent fuel, and oil sludge in check after those high-load runs. You won't need an inline check valve, as Radium's catch cans are pressure-sealed, allowing for a direct connection to the intake manifold.
