Our commitment to bring out the best in every engine is part of ABT's family tradition. Whether the task at hand is optimization of the electronic engine management or retrofitting a turbocharger - where performance upgrades are concerned, we are in our element, making us the world's No. 1 for cars from Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda. What's more, thanks to the experience we have acquired through years of professional racing, we know that it isn't only about power, but also durability. In the end, only a combination of the two can ensure true and lasting driving pleasure.
In this technology, the ABT Power Software is used in an additional engine control unit, the ABT Engine Control (AEC). Thus, ABT ensures the high standard in performance increase also in new developments and increasing high-tech in vehicles.
329 HP 325 lb-ft to 404 HP 383 lb-ft
Quality at manufacturer level:
Developed on 93 Octane
No Extra Fuel Consumption
German DOT (TUV) approved
Extensively tested on dyno and public roads
Based on several decades of motorsports experience(Audi Factory RaceTeam in Formula E and DTM Championship) and performance tuning for street cars
Separate ABT Engine Control Unit (AEC)
Individually developed for every specific Audi and VW engine
Non-destructive installation (separate wiring harness and stainless steel support brackets)
Active Engine Protection:
Performance increase only released in vehicle specific optimum range of engine temperature, airtemperature, height above sea level etc.
The connection between the AEC and the main engine is ensured through four analog channels, respectively two digital and two analog ones, that correct the data of the sensors (like pressure, temperature or the positions of the actuators)
Contrary to most competitors the AEC works in a three-dimensional way through an engine map combining engine load and rpm
ABT has been around since 1896, originally starting as a blacksmith’s shop. There wasn’t much of an automotive aftermarket in 1896. The story of the ABT we know today started in 1950, when the grandson of the founder, Johann Abt, completed his first car race. Fast forward to 1978 and they tuned the first Volkswagen Golf in 1978 and launched the first chip tuning product shortly after, in 1980. By 1991, the ABT had grown massively in the Audi and Volkswagen tuning market, and in 1991 they established their company headquarters.
Today, ABT Sportsline is regarded as one of the biggest and best Audi/VW tuners companies. Their products range from intercoolers, exhaust systems, aero packages, wheels, suspension, and more. Across their entire product range, ABT puts a major emphasis on quality.
