If you're looking to take your Mazda B-Series from ordinary to extraordinary, the Advanced Clutch HD/Race Rigid 6 Pad Kit ZT2-HDR6 is where it's at. This isn't just any clutch kit; it's built for those who want to push their ride to the limit. The heart of this kit is ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate, which is a favorite among enthusiasts. What makes it stand out? Well, it uses a unique diaphragm design that cranks up the clamp load, minimizes deflection, and really stretches the life of your clutch. Each diaphragm goes through a four-stage heat-treating process, so you know it's tough enough to handle the heat of competition.

The pressure plate itself is precision-engineered with cover stampings that provide the kind of rigidity and consistency you want when you're out on the track or tackling tough terrain. Now, let’s talk about the 6-pad rigid race discs. These bad boys are crafted from high-quality ceramic friction materials, which means they can take a beating and keep on performing. The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated, giving it the strength and durability you need for those high-stress moments. Plus, the lightweight design means your shifts are quicker and smoother, making it easier to hit those high RPMs without a hitch.

Now, I won’t sugarcoat it—the engagement is a bit harsher with this setup. But if you’re serious about racing, that’s a small price to pay for the faster shifts you’ll experience. This 6-pad rigid race disc is especially recommended for larger clutch sizes since it can handle more heat without breaking a sweat.

Want to tackle the install yourself? You can find the instructions right here. It's straightforward if you’ve got some mechanical know-how.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Pedal effort is light to moderate, but be ready for some aggressive engagement and a bit of gear rattle.
  • While the friction life is moderate, ACT’s diaphragm design helps extend it, though you might see a bit more wear on the splines.
  • This kit is engineered with precision and uses select ceramic materials for high heat tolerance and top-notch performance.
  • Just a heads up: this is recommended for race use only.
  • Each component is 100% clamp load tested and dynamically balanced to ensure reliability at high RPMs.
