AEM 21-847C Cold Air Intake System
The AEM 21-847C Cold Air Intake System is engineered for the 2017-2018 Kia Sportage with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. This performance intake system enhances airflow compared to the stock air intake, resulting in improved horsepower and torque. Each component is meticulously designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to ensure optimal performance gains.
Construction and Materials
The intake tube is crafted from mandrel-bent aluminum, featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder-coated finish that not only looks great but also resists corrosion. The system includes a cone-shaped AEM Dryflow air filter made from oil-free synthetic material, which can be used for up to 100,000 miles before needing maintenance, depending on driving conditions.
Performance Gains
Expect an estimated horsepower increase of 13 HP at 5100 RPM, translating to a more responsive throttle and enhanced acceleration. The design of the air intake system includes a custom-shaped heat shield to minimize heat absorption from the engine bay, ensuring cooler air enters the intake system.
