Our SnailWorks Engineering Team knows that heat is the biggest power robbing factor that plagues other inferior intake system designs. That is why they designed the air box to seal out blistering engine bay temperatures. They then took advantage of the Supra's existing intake ducting that funnels fresh air into the intake box by designing an air box opening that matches perfectly to the air duct. Our engineers did not stop there. When they focused on the other system components they found even more places to improve the design.
The intake piping has been increased to 90mm for increased airflow, and to provide future compatibility with larger aftermarket turbo compressor cover inlets. This is a massive 26.5% increase in cross sectional area over the factory system, which has flow reducing corrugations and reduces to 65mm at the compressor cover inlet. Whether you plan on leaving the turbo stock, or going with an aftermarket unit, this intake system has you covered.

The washable MKV Supra synthetic media filter was designed and manufactured specifically to fit this high performance automotive application, and the filter size and configuration was fine tuned to ensure that it will still provide all the necessary air for any MKV Supra, including upgraded turbo cars, without any substantial restriction or compromise in filter efficiency.
The new large AMS airbox was specifically designed to distribute airflow evenly over the entire circumference of the intake filter by allowing air to swirl around it. This means greater distribution of cold airflow across the filter resulting in lower pressure drop and a longer filter life between cleanings.The AMS Performance MKV Supra Carbon Fiber Intake Kit is engineered to deliver a 25% reduction in pressure drop which leads to better efficiency and more power. Because the Supra uses a torque based ECU tuning strategy, our SnailWorks Engineering Team has found that horsepower is not significantly changed with any aftermarket engine components unless proper ECU calibration is made to take advantage of the new hardware components. Our team even went so far as to add a much larger turbocharger to our test Supra, and found 0 hp gains without tuning. Do not be fooled by competitor's claims of horsepower gains without ECU calibration!

The filter uses specially designed dry media that allows performance and efficiency to be restored to near new each time by simply using compressed air (30-40 psi) from the inside out, making frequent washing unnecessary in order to restore filter performance. For a deep cleaning from extreme environments, a biodegradable cleaner such as Simple Green or other mild shop degreasers can be used. Simply place the filter in a solution or spray the cleaner on the filter. Allow the solution to loosen the particulate and then rinse thoroughly. Shake the filter or use compressed air from the inside outward to remove residual water and allow 24 hours to dry.

LIMITED PRODUCT AND LABOR WARRANTY
This warranty applies to AMS parts and begins on the invoice date of part purchase and ends twelve (12) months or 12,000 miles from that date, whichever occurs first. Due to the variety of modifications and changes made to cars and/or engines that may affect the performance or durability of related components, AMS’s obligation under this warranty extends solely to the repair or replacement parts manufactured by AMS.
This warranty applies to AMS’ labor and begins on the invoice date and ends twelve (12) months from that date. AMS’s obligation under this limited labor warranty extends solely to the labor required for the repair of components or systems deemed by AMS Performance to have been damaged as a result of an AMS employee’s negligence during installation of those components, systems, or existing components and systems.
All warranty returns must be pre-authorized by contacting AMS at (847) 709-0530. Parts deemed under warranty will be repaired or replaced by AMS at no cost to the customer. Payment of the cost of labor related to said repair/replacement is at the sole discretion of AMS and will only be covered by AMS where the AMS part or parts were originally installed or service was performed at the AMS facility located at 1760 Metoyer Court, West Chicago, Illinois, 60185. Labor/service performed at any other facility is at the sole discretion of that facility and is excluded from this warranty.
To file a warranty claim, AMS or the authorized dealer must be notified and the vehicle and/or part must be brought to AMS or the authorized dealer within seventy-two (72) hours of discovery of the defect, where feasible. Any returned merchandise shipped to AMS must be shipped with the AMS issued Return Authorization (RA) number clearly marked on the exterior of the shipping carton or package. Shipping charges to and from AMS are the responsibility of the customer.
To file a warranty claim, the part must be returned with proof of purchase, the customer name and address, type of car, year, odometer reading, and VIN number, the installation and removal date of the part, and the date the part was delivered. No claims will be considered without the aforementioned information and the original AMS part. Return freight charges must be prepaid. Collect charged returns will not be accepted. All parts replaced under warranty will become the sole property of AMS Performance.
EXCLUSIONS
Parts showing evidence of misapplication, abuse, misuse, improper maintenance, neglect, alterations from their original configuration, or failure to follow installation instructions are expressly not covered by this warranty. AMS reserves the right to make changes to products, or specifications at any time without obligation to modify earlier parts. No person, company, or other organization is authorized to assume for AMS any warranty responsibility or make binding judgments regarding warranties of any parts, which from time to time may become subject of a warranty claim.
The AMS Limited Product Warranty further excludes the following: Transportation and shipping charges, towing and rental car charges, damage to a component or assembly due to installation of replacement parts with specification(s) that differ in any material respect from the original vehicle manufacturer’s or AMS parts, damage resulting from the modification of an AMS part, damage resulting from the use of other manufacturer’s products in conjunction with AMS’ products or systems, damage to clutch or transmission components, maintenance services and parts when replaced during maintenance such as spark plugs, lubricants, fluids, engine tune-up parts, replacement filters, coolant and refrigerant, mechanical adjustments or repairs which result from normal wear and tear, drive belts, light bulbs, damage due to the failure to perform maintenance services at the specified intervals or in accordance with the instructions in the owner’s manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or AMS product instructions, damage attributed to negligence, improper installation, improper treatment contrary to the instructions in the owner’s manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or AMS product instructions, damage resulting from improper or contaminated fuel, damage to a AMS component as a result of a collision or repair, any vehicle/products operated and used in a competitive event, custom designed competition parts, incidental and /or consequential damages, including loss of time, inconvenience or loss of the use of the vehicle.
AMS’ Limited Product Warranty applies only to AMS vehicles and AMS products sold and installed through AMS Preferred Dealers and Installers.
LIMITED PACKAGE WARRANTY
This warranty applies to AMS packages and begins on the invoice date of part purchase and ends twelve (12) months or 12,000 miles from that date, whichever occurs first. Due to the variety of modifications and changes made to cars and/or engines that may affect the performance or durability of related components, AMS’s obligation under this warranty extends solely to the repair or replacement of a package or packages manufactured, installed and/or sold by AMS.
