Who is Arai?

Arai Helmet is a Japanese company that specializes in manufacturing helmets for motorcycles and other motorsport use. The company’s history can be traced back to the 1900s when Yuichiro Arai produced kepi-style caps. When the company was taken over by his son Hirotake Arai in 1930, he produced sun barrier caps for the military.

After the war, the company started making shirts and overalls and also made safety helmets for construction workers. As an avid motorcyclist himself, he, later on, decided to create helmets specifically designed for motorcycle use, and the rest is history. All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, and are serviceable only for the properly fitted first user for 5 years from date of first use, but no more than 7 years from date of manufacture. It should be replaced within 5 years of first use.
