ARP (Automotive Racing Products) was founded by Gary Holzapfel in 1968 when he noticed his drag-racing friends succumbing to bolt-induced engine failure as a result of poor-quality fasteners. He drew upon his expertise in the aerospace industry to develop a solution, which turned into a successful business nonetheless. 

Since its inception, ARP has been engineering and perfecting a wide range of bolts, studs, nuts, and other fasteners for engines, cylinder heads, headers, wheels, and transmissions.
