Shopper Award

2-1/2" Heavy-Duty Casters Upgrade Kit (M998134) by Auto Dolly®. For those who have purchased the Standard Auto Dolly and now find that they need the higher weight capacities and easier rolling of the Heavy Duty Auto Dolly, we now have available a Caster Upgrade Kit. These are the same three bearing, non-marring polyurethane casters found on the Heavy Duty Auto Dolly. Simply remove your original standard casters and bolt these on. The big difference between the Standard and Heavy Duty Auto Dolly is in the caster type and size. The Heavy Duty Auto Dolly Casters are larger in diameter and outfitted with three beefy sets of bearings: One on the swivel and two on the axle.

Features:

  • Wheel Diameter: 2-1/2"
  • Quantity: Pair (8 Casters)
  • Large single-ball raceways deeply embossed for strength and durability
  • Two sets of bearings on the axle for the most minimal start-up effort
  • Larger wheel diameter and widths, than Merrick's standard polyolefin casters.
  • Yoke is cut and stamped from heavily embossed steel.
  • Bright zinc finish, standard
  • Applications: Displays, dollies, platforms, racks, rolling tool boxes, food service, etc.
  • Excellent for applications demanding durability, capable of taking extreme shock loads
  • Resistant to water, oils, grease gasoline, and most commonly used chemicals.
  • Offers floor protection, is non-marking and nonconductive.
  • Lightweight, but high capacity
  • Durometer: 60-70 Shore D
  • Temp. rating: -45 to +180 degrees F.
  • Set quantity: 4

Throughout the housing industry, Jim Merrick was considered one of the three pioneers in the invention of automated housing machine tools. Starting with the invention of the Window Frame Clamp back in 1960, Merrick Machine Company, under the Triad brand name, has gone on to develop wood wall panel framing, steel stud framing, fastening, sub-component, and stair equipment and machines. Over 50 years down the road, Merrick Machine Company is under the direction of Jim's grandson, Russ Merrick who oversees six different companies: Merrick Machine Co., Triad Fastener, FuTek Tooling (all in Alda, NE), Triad Products Co. (Hastings, NE), and Denver Plastics in Wahoo, NE.
