The Can Am X3 was one of those challenging machines that pushed us to really think outside the box compared to a typical aftermarket off road exhaust system. Throughout the research and development phase we destroyed 3 different muffler/pipe designs during testing on this machine. After much trial and error, identifying the weaknesses Barker's competitors systems were experiencing, and nearly a year of real world riding, we realized that building an extremely clean and durable system was exactly what the X3 needed.

Traditional aluminum packed mufflers simply cannot stand up to the heat on these turbo machines with a CVT belt. After learning that this muffler style was completely out of the cards on the Maverick X3, Barker's went a completely different direction and opted for a fully stainless steel automotive style resonator exhaust.

The Barker's Can Am Maverick X3 system locates the resonator muffler right where the catalytic convertor was in the stock system. This allows you to remove the HUGE stock muffler and reduces the exhaust system weight by 17 pounds, lightening up the rear end of the machine substantially. Barker's design also leaves the perches so that all the stock heat shielding will bolt right back onto the pipe along with the machines oxygen sensor. From the rear, this system looks completely stock and exhausts right out of the stock exhaust port utilizing the stock spark arrestor.

With the machine being a turbo and controlled by the ECU, most gains are made in the tuning and programming of the ECU. By removing the catalytic converter and allowing the turbo to breathe more freely, the Barker's pipe opens up your ability to increase horsepower through the tuning of your machine. Barker's Performance Limited Warranty:

Barker's Performance, Inc. recommends that all exhausts and fuel controllers to be installed by a professional mechanic. We also recommend that both Carbureted and Fuel Injected models are tuned by a qualified tuning professional. Damage to an exhaust or other components of your system caused by improper installation or improper tuning will not be covered under the warranty.

Barker's Performance, Inc. provides a warranty on all exhaust systems for one (1) year from the date of purchase to the original purchaser of the exhaust system. The warranty covers all manufacturing defects not caused by consumer damage. Discoloration and blueing to exhaust pipes and mufflers are a natural cause from tuning characteristics and not caused by a defect in manufacturing. Finishes with discoloration or rust due to inclement weather conditions and exposure to salt or chemicals are not covered.

Exhausts that are damaged by misuse, improper installation, modifications, incorrect tuning, impact, or crash damage will not be covered by the warranty. Exhausts that have incurred damage as a result of not being properly maintained or lack of maintenance by the customer are not covered. Barker's reserves the right to determine whether the terms of this warranty have been voided. Exhaust systems that are not covered by warranty can be repaired by Barker's Performance at the owner's expense.

Barker's Performance warranty does not cover any damage to your machine as a result of installing an aftermarket exhaust system. When upgrading your exhaust system on your machine you risk adverse affects to your machine, including but not limited to, melting of plastic components and damage to fuel line due to improper installation. Barker's Performance is not responsible for any damage incurred to your machine as a result of installing an aftermarket exhaust system.

When you receive your Barker's exhaust system you should store your receipt in a safe place, as this is your proof of ownership with date of purchase. Your warranty begins on the date of your purchase. As soon as you notice a manufacturing defect or issue with your exhaust system you should contact Barker's Performance immediately. Waiting to report an issue with your exhaust system can cause further damage and may void your warranty; arrangements will need to be made immediately to return the exhaust for inspection. You can make arrangements by emailing us directly or completing the warranty claim form. You will receive instructions from a customer service team member with what to include in your Barker's Exhaust warranty return.

You are only required to ship the damaged components of your exhaust. This will reduce the package size and shipping cost, and may expedite the repair of your Barker's exhaust. For manufacturing defects Barker's will pay the shipping costs, for general repairs the customer is responsible for all shipping charges including duties, taxes, and other transportation costs.

Barker's takes extra care to ensure your exhaust arrives at your door exactly as it left our facility, but damage can happen as a result of shipping negligence. Any damage that occurs to your exhaust during the shipping process must be reported to Barker's Performance within 72 hours of receipt. Barker's is not responsible for any damage caused during shipping, but we can assist in filing a claim with the shipping company.
