Camburg CAM-030282 Limit Straps

The Camburg CAM-030282 limit straps are engineered for durability and performance, crafted in the USA with military-grade materials. These straps feature a quad-wrapped design, consisting of four layers to enhance strength and reliability during off-road use.

Material and Construction

The mounting tabs are constructed from heat-treated 4130 chromoly steel, providing exceptional resistance to wear and fatigue. Each strap is plated in black to prevent corrosion, ensuring longevity even in harsh environments. Unlike cheaper alternatives that use inferior materials, these limit straps are designed to withstand the rigors of off-road adventures without stretching or failing.

Functionality

Limit straps are crucial for controlling suspension travel, preventing excessive strain on components such as shocks, driveshafts, and CV joints. The CAM-030282 can also be utilized in various applications, including driveshaft loops and vertical spare tire cradles, effectively securing loads and preventing unwanted movement.

Installation Notes

  • When determining the appropriate length for installation, consider the tension on the strap and the potential for minimal stretching over time. Typically, expect about ½ inch of stretch for every 12 inches of strap length, with extreme cases reaching up to 1 inch.
  • Using multiple straps per wheel is recommended for off-road applications, as this reduces the amount of stretch experienced.
