Camburg CAM-030062 Limit Straps

The Camburg CAM-030062 limit straps are engineered for durability and reliability, crafted in the USA with a quad-wrapped design that consists of four layers of military-grade materials. This robust construction ensures superior strength, making these straps ideal for demanding off-road applications.

Construction and Materials

These limit straps feature heat-treated 4130 chromoly mounting tabs that are finished with a black plating to enhance corrosion resistance. This attention to material quality prevents stretching and wear, unlike lower-quality alternatives that often compromise performance due to inferior materials.

Functionality

Limit straps play a crucial role in managing suspension travel. By limiting the extension of the suspension components, they prevent undue stress on shocks, driveshafts, CV joints, and steering components. Beyond suspension applications, these straps can also be utilized for driveshaft loops and vertical spare tire cradles, ensuring that critical components remain secure during off-road adventures.

Installation Notes

  • Sold individually; consider purchasing two straps per wheel for optimal performance in off-road conditions.
  • When determining the appropriate strap length, account for tension and potential stretching over time. Typically, you can expect around ½ inch of stretch for every 12 inches of strap length. In extreme conditions, this may increase to 1 inch per 12 inches. Using multiple straps can significantly reduce this stretch, making it advisable for off-road setups.
  • Utilizing an adjustable limit strap mount allows for compensation of any stretching that may occur, ensuring continued performance.
