Now, let’s be real—this isn’t a weekend warrior project unless you’ve got some experience under your belt. You’ll be cutting, fitting, grinding, and welding these onto your factory frame. Just a heads up, Ford has played around with their frame designs over the years, so expect to do a bit of fitting. Their tolerances are a bit looser than what we aim for, so keep that in mind. These babies are meant to be welded in, not bolted. The holes we’ve included are for precise placement and help tie in the upper control arm bolts, giving your frame some extra strength. Once you wrap it up and throw on a coat of black Steel-It, it’ll look like it rolled off the factory line.
These coil buckets are specifically designed to work with the aftermarket Ford Raptor (2017-2020, GEN2) coilovers from brands like FOX (non-Live Valve), King, and Icon, as well as the OEM 2017-2018 non-Live Valve coilovers. Depending on how you set up your suspension, you might need to add limit straps to avoid letting the suspension droop too far—nobody wants to see something get bound up in there. And with the added wheel travel, consider picking up our Camburg uniball upper arms (choose between F-150 or Raptor based on your setup) for even better performance.
