The Camburg CAM-120021 MIG shackles are a robust upgrade for the stock shackles found on the 2015-2020 Ford F-150 and 2017-2020 Ford Raptor. The factory shackles are constructed from thin stamped metal and incorporate rubber bushings, which can lead to unwanted flex and binding during suspension travel. In contrast, Camburg's shackles offer a superior design that enhances both strength and performance.
Construction and Design
These shackles are fabricated using a boxed gusseted design, ensuring maximum durability. They feature:
- CAD designed and CNC laser cut for precision
- MIG welded for added strength
- Polyurethane bushings that provide smoother pivoting and reduced flex
- Textured gray powder coat finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal
- Manufactured in the USA for quality assurance
Installation and Fitment
The Camburg MIG shackles are designed for a straightforward installation, utilizing the factory hardware for a seamless fit. They are available in two lengths:
- Stock Length: 4.5" eye to eye, maintains original ride height
- Extended Length: 6", which lowers the ride height by approximately 1"
Both versions are compatible with stock and Deaver leaf springs; however, note that the stock length shackles are not suitable for ICON leaf springs.
