The Chase Bays Power Steering Kit for BMW E36 and E46 is designed to eliminate the common factory power steering leaks, fluid spillover, and overheating issues with improved aesthetics, durability, and stealthy design. This Cooler Upgrade Kit includes everything needed to add a cooler to your non-cooler equipped PS kit. This will replace the single Low Pressure 6AN Line from Rack to Reservoir with 2 Low Pressure 6AN Lines from Rack to Cooler and Cooler to Reservoir.
Heatsink Cooler
This kit includes our own Chase Bays Inline Heatsink Cooler. It is all aluminum in construction, and black anodized for a durable stealthy finish. It is very compact but effective. We've seen 20°F drops in temperature from this cooler.
This kit includes mounting brackets to mount the Cooler to the existing Rack mounting bolts. These bolts will need to be replaced with M10 bolts that are 5mm longer than OE ones to accommodate the bracket thickness (75mm long if using stock subframe). We do not include this hardware, as some people will already have longer or different thread pitch bolts for use with aftermarket subframes.
Hoses and Adapters
This kit is a full 100% upgraded A.N. Hose and Fitting replacement of the low pressure line the Rack to Reservoir that only works with an existing Chase Bays Power Steering Kit. ALL Hose and Hose Ends are BMRS aka Brown and Miller Racing. This is the best Hose/Hose Ends in the world, the same components seen on NASCAR and Indy Car. All the Fitting Adapters are designed and manufactured by Chase Bays to be chassis specific for perfect leak free installs. The hose itself is 6AN, abrasion resistant, black nylon sheathed, and SS reinforced. They are all completed with high end black aluminum AN fittings.
