They’re not just any crank—these bad boys are forged from 4340 steel and go through a rigorous heat treatment process that really cranks up their strength and reliability. We’re talking about a non-twist forging that’s stress relieved, shot peened, and nitrided. Yeah, it sounds technical, but what it means is that they’re built to handle some serious power without flinching.

Every journal is micropolished to a 3 or better R.A., which is a fancy way of saying they’re super smooth. And here’s a neat trick: they use a 0.125" radius on all journals to boost strength. Just a heads up, though—you’ll need to grab some chamfered bearings to go along with it. These cranks are designed for internal balance and can handle applications pushing up to 1500 horsepower. So if you’re looking to build something that can really haul, this is your ticket.

But wait, there’s more! If you’re looking to shave off some weight, Eagle’s got lightweight versions where the counterweights are knife-edged, cutting down on windage and typically dropping 5-6 lbs. off the total weight. Every little bit helps when you’re aiming for that perfect build.

If you’re not quite ready to go full forged, Eagle also offers cast steel crankshafts. They’re a solid alternative to stock cranks, with all radii set to .092" so you can stick with OE-style bearings. They’re good for up to 500hp and are designed for 28 in-oz. external balance, making them a great choice for those who want reliability without breaking the bank.
