- Reduces stopping distances by as much as 10% vs. OEM brakes (15+ feet from 60 mph!)
- Adding large and heavy wheels and tires will not diminish our AP Racing brake system's performance
- Allows for towing max loads without brake fade, even after repeated stops
- Huge discs and pads cut brake running temperatures in half vs. stock, which means zero fade and a much longer service life
- Incredibly stiff six piston calipers reduce compliance and flex while dramatically improving brake pedal travel, feel, and overall vehicle control
- Calipers include dust boots for durability in harsh conditions and are available in a high-quality red, black, or silver painted finish
- Pistons sized properly to maintain brake bias and work with the OEM master cylinder and ABS system
- Designed to mate with our matching rear AP Racing Road Brake Kit

Essex founder Michael Gue discovered a demand for British road racing cars and parts in the USA, while working in the racing industry in his native country, England. After moving to Essex Connecticut and adopting the town's name for his business in 1981, Essex Racing was established and quickly developed a sizeable and loyal clientele. In the beginning, they thrived as the U.S. importer for Van Diemen and Tiga formula and sports racing cars. But as the demand for Essex's racing cars grew, so did the requests for accompanying spare parts. A separate business was formed to handle this need in 1992, and Essex Parts Services was born. During the following decade, Essex Parts Services became one of the premier suppliers of both road racing and stock car parts in the USA
