Exotic Car Gear Carbon Fiber Air Deflectors Lotus Elise 02-15
$1369.99

If you’re looking to give your Lotus Elise a little extra flair while improving its aerodynamics, these Carbon Fiber Air Deflectors, or hood fins as some like to call them, are a solid choice. I’ve had my hands on these and can tell you firsthand that they’re made to fit just like the OEM parts—no awkward modifications or extra hassle. Just pop them in and you’re good to go.

What makes these deflectors stand out is the material. They’re crafted from the same high-quality Toray Dry Carbon Fiber that Lotus uses for their original components. This isn’t just any carbon fiber; it’s the 2x2 (3k Twill Weave) that matches the factory specs perfectly. So, if you’re aiming for that sleek, sporty look, you won’t be disappointed.

  • Material: Carbon Fiber, which means they’re lightweight yet sturdy enough to handle whatever the road throws at you.
  • Easy Installation: These are designed to replace the OEM part without any modifications needed. Seriously, it’s as straightforward as it gets.

They fit the Lotus Elise models from 2002 to 2015, so if you own one of these beauties, you’re in luck. And here’s a little bonus: there’s no core charge. This means you can keep your original components intact while still upgrading your ride. It’s a win-win.

Exotic Car Gear really knows their stuff. They produce all their parts in matching factory patterns, which is a big deal for those of us who appreciate the finer details. Plus, if you’re feeling adventurous, they offer custom orders in various carbon fiber patterns—like 1x1 (3k plain weave), 6k, and 12K—along with matte or gloss finishes. You can even mix it up with carbon/Kevlar color combos if that’s your thing. Just reach out if you have any questions or special requests.

In short, if you want to enhance your Lotus Elise’s performance and style, these Carbon Fiber Air Deflectors are a no-brainer. Trust me, they’ll make your ride look even more incredible.

By law, a dealership is not allowed to void a warranty based upon having aftermarket parts installed on a car. When you add an aftermarket part to the car, the aftermarket part will void the warranty of ONLY the stock part it is replacing.

In a Consumer Alert issued by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the agency confirmed that “The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket part.” The alert outlines key provisions in the law that provides protections to car owners. As defined by the FTC, an “aftermarket’ part is a part made by a company other than the vehicle manufacturer or the original equipment manufacturer.” “The FTC’s reference to aftermarket parts is equally applicable to specialty parts,” said Russ Deane, SEMA’s General Counsel. “Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the warranty cannot be conditioned to a specific brand of parts, services or vehicle modifications unless those parts or services are provided free of charge.” The alert notes that a consumer has the right to patronize independent retail stores and repair shops for parts and service without fear of voiding the new car warranty. The dealer/vehicle manufacturer has the right to deny a warranty repair but they must demonstrate that the aftermarket part caused the problem. The warranty remains in effect for all other covered parts. The FTC alert may be downloaded using this link: www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt192.shtm.

The alert was issued in response to an FTC complaint filed last August by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), Automotive Oil Change Association (AOCA) and the Tire Industry Association (TIA).
