Extreme Turbo Systems 800-10-IC-02 Intercooler Upgrade

The Extreme Turbo Systems 800-10-IC-02 intercooler is engineered for serious performance enthusiasts looking to optimize their Mazda RX-7 (1993-2002). This intercooler upgrade features a robust design and advanced cooling technology that significantly enhances charge air temperature management.

Performance Insights

Developed in a high-performance environment, this intercooler has been tested on a shop car equipped with a T66 turbo and other supporting modifications. Initial testing with an Apexi FMIC kit revealed charge air temperatures reaching 140-150°F, leading to slight detonation at higher boost levels. After installing the 800-10-IC-02, charge air temperatures dropped dramatically to an impressive 110°F, with maximum observed temperatures peaking at 122°F. This improvement allows for consistent operation at 23 psi on pump gas without detonation.
