If you’re looking to give your Evo 8 or 9 a serious boost, the ETS Front Mount Intercooler is where it’s at. This isn’t just about cranking up the power; it also gives your ride a meaner look with full grill coverage. Seriously, it’s a game changer.
Installation? Piece of cake. The bolt-on design means you can get this bad boy in without a ton of hassle, and you can keep your crash beam intact with the 3" and 3.5" versions. Safety first, right?
Now, let’s talk specs. You’ve got a couple of core sizes to choose from: 24"x11.5"x3.0" and 24"x11.5"x3.5". Both are built tough with a bar and plate core. The 3.0" core can handle up to 1092cfm and is good for about 742hp at 79% efficiency. If you’re feeling a bit more ambitious, the 3.5" core pushes that to 1115cfm, 758hp, and 80% efficiency. That’s some serious air flow.
But wait, there’s more! If you really want to push the envelope, check out the 24"x11.5"x4.0" core. It’ll give you 1207cfm and a whopping 820hp at 81% efficiency, but you’ll need to do a little bumper beam trimming. And for those who want to go all out, the 24"x11.5"x5.0" core cranks out 1368cfm and 930hp at 83% efficiency, but that requires some custom intercooler piping and more trimming. If you’re chasing the ultimate setup, the 24"x11.5"x6.0" core is your ticket to 1472cfm and up to 1000hp at 83% efficiency, though it does mean removing the bumper beam and cutting the bumper cover. Not for the faint of heart!
