Introducing the Extreme Turbo Systems Anodized Purple 4.0" Intercooler Upgrade, designed to enhance the performance of your Mazda RX-7. This intercooler upgrade is a result of extensive testing and real-world application, ensuring that it meets the demands of enthusiasts and racers alike.
Our team developed this unit on our shop car, a yellow FD RX-7 equipped with a T66 turbo and Haltech management. Initially, we used an Apexi FMIC kit, but we noticed that charge air temperatures would reach upwards of 140-150 degrees, leading to slight detonation in higher gears. After switching to the 800-10-IC-18, we observed a significant drop in charge air temperatures to around 110 degrees, with peaks only reaching 122 degrees under heavy load.
This improvement has allowed us to run 23psi on pump gas without any detonation issues. Moreover, coolant temperatures have stabilized between 185-195 degrees, never exceeding 200 degrees, providing a reliable performance even under stress.
One customer shared, "I installed the Extreme Turbo intercooler on my RX-7, and the difference was night and day. I can push my car harder without worrying about overheating. The fitment was spot on, and it looks great too!"
The 800-10-IC-18 intercooler features a robust design that optimizes airflow while minimizing pressure drop. With its large core size, it effectively cools the intake air, allowing for better performance and efficiency in your turbocharged setup.
Upgrade your Mazda RX-7 with the Extreme Turbo Systems Anodized Purple 4.0" Intercooler and experience the difference in performance and reliability.
