Now, let’s talk specs. You’ve got options here. The 3.0" core measures in at 24"x11.5" and can handle up to 1092cfm, pushing out about 742hp at a solid 79% efficiency. If you want a bit more oomph, the 3.5" core kicks it up a notch to 1115cfm and 758hp with 80% efficiency. Both are direct replacements, so no need for major modifications.
For those of you chasing even bigger numbers, the 4.0" core offers a whopping 1207cfm and can support around 820hp at 81% efficiency, but be ready to do some bumper beam trimming. If you’re really serious about maxing out your power, there’s also a 5.0" core that pushes 1368cfm and 930hp at 83% efficiency, but that one’s going to need custom intercooler piping and more trimming. And for the ultimate in power, the 6.0" core can deliver a staggering 1472cfm and 1000hp at 83% efficiency, though it requires removing the bumper beam and cutting the bumper cover. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you want to push your Evo to the limit, it’s worth it.
