The Extreme Turbo Systems 800-10-ICP-01 Intercooler Piping Kit is engineered for serious performance enthusiasts looking to optimize their turbocharged setup. This kit features 2.5" mandrel-bent steel piping that connects your turbo to the throttle body elbow, ensuring efficient airflow and reduced turbulence.
This intercooler piping kit has been rigorously tested on the shop's Mazda RX-7, equipped with a T66 turbo and supporting modifications. Initial tests with an Apexi FMIC kit showed charge air temperatures peaking at 140-150°F, resulting in slight detonation under load. After installing the 800-10-ICP-01, charge air temperatures dropped significantly to a maximum of 122°F, allowing for consistent boost levels of 23 psi without detonation. Coolant temperatures also stabilized between 185-195°F, enhancing overall engine reliability.
