If you're looking to boost your Mazda RX-7's performance, our Standard Turbo Kit is where it's at. We’ve designed this kit with 2.5" piping that connects right from the turbo to the throttle body elbow. Now, if you're rolling with a Greddy elbow on the throttle body side, you’ll need to snag our 3" Greddy Elbow Pipe for the driver side. Oh, and if you’re thinking about upgrading both long engine compartment pipes to 3", that’s an option too, but only if you have the Greddy elbow and are set up with a single turbo.
Now, if you’re coming from a twin turbo setup and want to switch to a single turbo, you’ll need to grab a new Single Turbo upgrade Pipe from our piping section along with a 2.5" 90 Degree Silicone Elbow. It’s a straightforward swap, and trust me, it’s worth it.
We put this kit through its paces on our shop car, a yellow FD that runs a T66 turbo, Haltech, and a bunch of other supporting mods. Initially, we had an Apexi FMIC kit on there, and while it was decent, we were seeing charge air temps creeping up to 140-150 degrees. Not great, right? This led to some detonation in higher gears, and coolant temps were often over 210 degrees. That was all at a pump gas tune with 21psi boost (10.5 AFR and 10 degrees of timing).
Once we switched to our kit, everything changed. The charge air temps dropped to a cool 110 degrees, with the highest we’ve seen being 122 degrees. This drop allowed us to crank up to 23psi on pump gas without any detonation issues. Plus, coolant temps settled at 185-195 degrees and never exceeded 200 degrees, all while keeping the stock bumper intact. We’ve even had customers with body kits seeing even lower temps. For a T66 running at 20psi, typical charge air temps are around 95-110 degrees, and coolant temps hover between 180-185 degrees. The ETS intercooler kit fills the stock bumper opening beautifully, with a whopping 30" tank-to-tank dimension that beats out other kits on the market.
Features:This kit is specifically designed for the Mazda RX-7 from 1993-2002, featuring the 800-10-ICP-10 from Extreme Turbo Systems with an HKS BOV flange and a big single Greddy elbow intercooler piping kit. If you want to take your RX-7 to the next level, this is the way to go!
