The Extreme Turbo Systems 3.5" Silver Core Front Mount Intercooler (part number 800-10-IC-01) is engineered for optimal performance and efficiency, specifically designed for the Mazda RX-7 from 1993 to 1995. This intercooler is a significant upgrade over stock options, providing enhanced cooling capabilities for high-boost applications.

Performance Insights

Developed on a shop car equipped with a T66 turbo and Haltech management, this intercooler has proven its effectiveness in real-world conditions. Initial tests with an Apexi FMIC kit showed charge air temperatures reaching 140-150°F, leading to detonation in higher gears. Upon installing the ETS intercooler, charge air temperatures dropped dramatically to between 110°F and 122°F, allowing for safe operation at 23 psi without knock. Additionally, coolant temperatures stabilized between 185°F and 195°F, providing consistent performance even under heavy load.
