Real-World Performance Gains

Initially, our RX-7 struggled with charge air temperatures reaching 140-150 degrees, leading to slight detonation in higher gears. After installing the ETS intercooler, those temps dropped dramatically to a consistent 110 degrees, peaking at just 122 degrees even under heavy boost. This reduction allows us to run 23psi on pump gas without any detonation, a feat that makes a world of difference on the track or the street.

Additionally, coolant temperatures dropped to a manageable 185-195 degrees, never exceeding 200 degrees, which is crucial for maintaining engine health during spirited driving sessions. The kit fits perfectly behind the stock bumper, and we’ve seen even better results on cars equipped with aftermarket body kits.
