Ford Racing Boss Short Block Engine 460 cu in Forged Steel Crankshaft H-Beam Rods
$5900.00

If you're looking to breathe some serious life into your vintage muscle car, street rod, or even a late-model Mustang, you can't go wrong with the M-6009-460 Ford Racing Boss Short Block Engine. This isn’t just any engine; it’s a powerhouse designed by Ford Performance Engineers who really know their stuff. They’ve crafted a short block that’s not only strong but also ready to handle a wide range of power outputs, making it an ideal starting point for your build.

What sets this short block apart? Well, it starts with a forged steel crankshaft that’s built tough, paired with forged H-beam connecting rods that come with floating piston pins. Those Mahle pistons? They’re forged too, which means they can take a beating without breaking a sweat. And let’s not forget the Ford Performance BOSS block itself—this thing is a beast! Each one is hand assembled right here in the U.S., ensuring that you get performance clearances that you just won’t find in those mass-produced assembly line engines.

Now, a little heads-up: this short block is meant for competition use only. So, if you’re planning to hit the streets, you might want to think again. Installing it on a vehicle that sees public roads could land you in hot water with U.S. and Canadian emissions laws. But if you’re all about that track life, you’re in for a treat!

In terms of specs, we’re talking about a 460 cubic inch engine that’s internally balanced. It’s got everything you need to get your build off to a roaring start. Just remember, while it’s designed to fit a variety of vehicles, it’s always a good idea to do a little research to make sure it’s the right match for your ride.
