Girodisc Rear Titanium Pad Shields for Porsche 997 Turbo | Turbo S - TS-1300-4
$95.00

So, let’s talk about something that can ruin your day on the track: brake fluid boiling. It’s not just a minor annoyance; it’s a full-on nightmare when heat from your rotors and pads seeps into the fluid through the caliper pistons. When that fluid starts to boil, it releases air, and suddenly your brake pedal feels like it’s sinking to the floor instead of doing its job. If you’ve ever been on a track day, you know how production cars can struggle with this. They don’t have the fancy cooling ducts or the high-end brake materials that true racing cars do.

Now, here’s where Girodisc comes in. They’ve got a smart fix for this problem: thin titanium shims that sit between your brake pads and the pistons. These shims act as a barrier, keeping that nasty brake heat from transferring into your fluid. And let’s talk about titanium for a second. It’s got a thermal conductivity rating of just 6.7 W/mk, which is way lower than steel (52 W/mk) and aluminum (130 W/mk). In simple terms, it means titanium is terrible at transferring heat, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to keep your brake fluid cool.

If you’re planning on hitting the track hard or doing multiple sessions in a day, these shims are a no-brainer. They’re a cheap insurance policy against that heart-stopping moment when your brakes fail because of boiling fluid. Trust me, you don’t want to be the guy who loses the pedal at the wrong time—it can turn an awesome day into an expensive disaster.

Features:
  • Water jet cut to precise dimensions—no need for cutting, grinding, or losing your cool.
  • Price is per axle, so you get four pieces to keep both sides happy.
Fitments:
  • Porsche 997 Turbo | Turbo S

So, if you’re serious about your Porsche 997 Turbo or Turbo S and want to keep your braking system in check, these Girodisc Rear Titanium Pad Shields are a solid investment. They’ll help keep your fluid cool and your confidence high on the track. Don't let boiling brake fluid ruin your fun!
