This camshaft is ideal for street and street/strip applications. To achieve optimal performance, it requires a minimum compression ratio of 9.0:1 and a stall converter rated for 2500 RPM or higher. Please note that stock (O.E.) valve springs are not compatible with this camshaft, so be sure to upgrade your springs accordingly to maximize performance.

Howards Cams hydraulic and mechanical lifters are also 100% Rockwell checked for hardness to ensure that our customers receive the best American made components available. To give our customers a performance edge, Howards Cams will unconditionally replace to the original purchaser only, any non-usable hydraulic or mechanical flat tappet camshafts and lifters for 1/2 the amount of the original invoiced purchase price for a period of 6 months from the date of original retail purchase. Howards™ Cams does not warrant the performance of our products due to Howards™ Cams lack of control during product installation and usage.
