The 031-2-HSP or HSP 2 IN Replacement Drivers Side Up-Pipe for the 2001-2004 Chevrolet and GMC Duramax are an incredible replacement to the factory parts that not only improve performance but also lessen common failure points.

The factory Duramax Uppipes are prone to failure and failure on an up pipe can leave you stranded, down on power, and more. This is why replacing them before a failure is so important and can make or break a moment real fast.

Why Would you need an HSP 2 Inch Replacement Up-pipe?

Before we get into up-pipe issues let's talk about what an up-pipe does, the up-pipe feeds the turbo exhaust gases that then in turn spin the turbo and create boost. The factory up-pipes on the Duramax trucks fail often and more often than not it inch's when it inch's least convenient. The major and most common failure point of the factory up-pipe is the bellows. They crack and that causes leaks and then it spirals from there. Other problems that occur are warped flanges from bad gaskets that can not be repaired due to the heat and will just continue to leak.

What does the HSP 2 Inch Replacement Up-Pipe do Differently?

The biggest difference between the factory up-pipe and the HSP 2 inch Replacement is the flow. The HSP 2 Inch Replacement Up-Pipe is a different world when it comes to how much it flows. With better flow we all know comes more power more torque and reduces EGT inch's all while increasing spool up. Now that covers the performance increase side of things but we have also reliability fixes as well. Our Up-Pipes are made of heavy wall 304 stainless steel tubing. We then took heavy-duty sleeved bellows and put them into our stainless steel tubing to create an up-pipe that is capable of performance and reliability that is far beyond the factory parts.
