Ah, the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II. This beauty helped Mercedes snag its first DTM title back in '92, and let me tell you, that win kicked the rivalry with BMW into high gear. These days, the 190E is just as sought after as the E30 M3—both are legends in their own right. If you’re diving into a restoration project, you’ve probably hit a snag with the radiator since Mercedes stopped making them. But don’t sweat it; CSF has come to the rescue with their All-Aluminum OEM+ radiator that’s designed specifically for the 190E.

CSF managed to get their hands on one of the original radiators and used it as a blueprint to create something that meets the high standards of purists. This isn’t just a replacement; it’s a high-performance upgrade. The radiator features a 2-Row, 42mm aluminum core that boosts fluid capacity and improves heat dissipation. With CSF’s exclusive B-Tube Technology, you’re looking at about a 15% increase in heat transfer compared to the old-school oval tubes. That’s a big deal for anyone planning to hit the track or just enjoy some spirited drives on the weekends.

Originally, the 190E came with a plastic tank and a single-row core, which was decent for its time. But let’s be real—technology has come a long way, and these classic beasts deserve the best. The CSF radiator is built to last with 100% TIG-welded aluminum construction, so you can trust it to handle whatever you throw at it. Plus, it mounts right in the factory location without any cutting or modifications. Just drop it in and you’re good to go.

If you’re thinking about upgrading from the factory mechanical fan to something more modern, CSF has you covered there too. They include mounting brackets compatible with 16-inch SPAL fans—specifically the low profile SPAL #30100400 and the medium profile SPAL #30101516. Just keep in mind, you’ll need a fan controller (not included) to make that work.

For those of you considering ditching the factory A/C condenser for an oil cooler, CSF has thought of that too. They’ve added threaded bolt inserts (M8 x 1.25) for mounting an oil cooler, which is perfect if you’re planning to track your ride. You’ll need to whip up some brackets, but we recommend the CSF #8110 (Dual-Pass) or #8111 (Single-Pass) Universal Oil Coolers for optimal results.

In short, CSF has really nailed it with this radiator. They’ve combined innovative design with solid engineering to give your 190E the cooling it needs. Whether you’re restoring a classic or just want to keep your ride running cool, this radiator is a smart investment.

If the radiator is installed and is returned deformed (bulging tanks, warped core etc.), this is an indication that the radiator is the victim of some other problem and not the cause. The deformation is a result of the radiator being subjected to extremely high pressure and or temperature caused by any of the following reasons:Defective Pressure Cap, Defective Head Gasket, Defective Temperature gauge (incorrect readings), Defective Water Pump etc. Such units are not covered under the warranty.

If a radiator seems to have a “fit problem” there is the possibility that there is some confusion about a multi-fit radiator that might look different. Your nearest CSF WD can clarify the application, just give them a call. A perceived fit problem is not covered under warranty.

If a unit is damaged in shipping, please file a claim with the carrier. Damages caused during shipping, installation or handling are not covered under warranty.

Any repairs or alterations to the unit will automatically void the warranty.

Any form of abuse, including the use of improper coolant mixtures, damage caused by steam, corrosion etc and use on commercial vehicles voids the warranty. It is the vehicle owners’ responsibility to maintain the cooling system as specified in the owners manual.
