The PLM-ME55-HEAT-EXCHANGER is engineered for the Mercedes-Benz E55 and CLS55 AMG models, specifically designed to address the overheating issues commonly experienced in supercharged applications. This heat exchanger mounts in the stock position, ensuring an easy installation without the need for cutting or modifications.

Performance and Design

Supercharged Mercedes-Benz AMGs often face challenges with elevated intake air temperatures (IAT), especially under high-performance conditions or in hot climates. The PLM-ME55-HEAT-EXCHANGER is a robust solution, featuring:

  • Non-epoxied furnace brazed cores for superior heat dissipation.
  • CNC precision machined billet aluminum necks for enhanced durability.
  • A fluid capacity of 1.8 liters, providing ample cooling efficiency.
  • A fin area of 4000 square inches to combat heat soak effectively.

Notes:

  • The side brackets on our heat exchangers are made to bolt-on to E55. If you have a CLS55 or SL55, you will need to make 2 new holes on our brackets. There is no modification to your car as the installation is still bolt-on.
  • On the SL55, because one of the hose connection is on the driver side, you will need a longer hose. We are happy to provide the hose at no extra cost if you have a SL55, just select the SL55 option when you place the order.
