PLM Heat Exchanger Cooling Kit for Mercedes-Benz E55 & CLS55 AMG

The PLM-ME55-HX-JP-WW heat exchanger by Private Label Mfg. is engineered specifically for the Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (2003-2006) and CLS55 AMG (2006-2011). This component is designed to mount in the stock position, making installation straightforward without the need for cutting or modifications to your vehicle.

Performance and Design

Supercharged AMG models are known for their power but can experience elevated intake air temperatures (IAT) under demanding conditions. The PLM heat exchanger addresses this issue head-on, providing a significant reduction in intake charge temperatures. This is crucial for maintaining performance, especially if you have increased boost or horsepower.

  • Core Construction: Features non-epoxied furnace brazed cores for superior heat dissipation.
  • Precision Engineering: Welded with CNC precision machined aluminum necks for a robust and reliable fit.
  • Fluid Capacity: 1.8 liters to ensure efficient cooling.
  • Fin Area: 4000 square inches designed to combat heat soak effectively.

Installation Notes

Installation is straightforward and requires only basic hand tools, making it accessible for DIY enthusiasts. The kit comes complete with everything needed for a hassle-free setup.

Notes:

  • The side brackets on our heat exchangers are made to bolt-on to E55. If you have a CLS55 or SL55, you will need to make 2 new holes on our brackets. There is no modification to your car as the installation is still bolt-on.
  • On the SL55, because one of the hose connection is on the driver side, you will need a longer hose. We are happy to provide the hose at no extra cost if you have a SL55, just let us know when you place the order in the notes.
