Mishimoto Thermal Bypass Valve Kit Jeep Grand Cherokee 2016-2021 - MMTC-WK2-TBV
The transmission is the backbone of your Grand Cherokee. Its responsible for transmitting large quantities of torque from your V8 or 3.0L EcoDiesel powerplant. That much torque generates a lot of heat, and if that heat isnt dissipated, it can destroy your transmission. The transmission cooler does a good job of keeping trans fluid temperatures in check, but only if the fluid can reach it. The stock cooling system of the 8HP transmission utilizes an in-line thermal bypass valve that controls fluid flow to the transmission cooler The purpose of this valve is to prevent transmission fluid from flowing to the cooler until it reaches operating temperature. The thermostat inside this valve is prone to failure, However, and when that happens, the fluid never flows to the cooler and the transmission can overheat. Thats why Mishimoto has developed a thermal bypass valve upgrade for your 2016-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Our CNC-machined aluminum thermal bypass valve not only looks better than the stock unit, but it performs better too. This Mishimoto thermal bypass valve kit includes a fully serviceable thermostat for fast warm-up in cold climates. This kit also includes a thermostat bypass that can be installed to provide constant cooling in warm climates or for use in extreme driving/towing conditions. The Mishimoto thermal bypass valve features strategically machined internal passages, providing improved flow over the stock valve for more effective cooling. In addition, cooling fins machined into the valve body add even more heat dissipation. Mishimoto Automotive ("Mishimoto") warrants its products under this lifetime limited warranty policy ("Warranty Policy"). This Warranty Policy applies solely to: (i) Mishimoto Products purchased directly from Mishimoto or Mishimoto authorized dealers (each a "Mishimoto Product" and collectively, the "Mishimoto Products") and (ii) the original purchaser of such Mishimoto Product ("Purchaser"). This Warranty Policy is non-transferable and all claims under this Warranty Policy must be accompanied by the original sales receipt. The terms and conditions of this Warranty Policy are subject to change by Mishimoto at any time without notice.

Pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Warranty Policy, after submission of a valid claim by a Purchaser and regardless of the condition of the product for which such valid claim is submitted, if it is determined by Mishimoto that such Mishimoto Product was not manufactured to Mishimoto's advertised specifications or if such claim was submitted pursuant to Mishimoto's Accident Protection Plan, as described herein, Mishimoto will, at its discretion: (i) repair or replace Purchaser's original Mishimoto Product; (ii) replace Purchaser's original Mishimoto Product with the most current available model (if, for example, the original model of the product for which a valid claim has been submitted is not available); or (iii) provide the purchaser with a gift card redeemable at Mishimoto.com in the amount of the original purchase price of the original Mishimoto Product (if, for example, Mishimoto has discontinued support for a Purchaser's specific application).

To submit a claim for a Mishimoto Product under this Warranty Policy, you must: (i) fully and accurately fill out the online form provided below; and (ii) provide Mishimoto with a copy of an original sales receipt indicating that you are the original Purchaser of the Mishimoto Product for which the claim is being submitted (you must also provide the information described in the paragraph of this Warranty Policy titled "Mishimoto Accident Protection Plan" if you are submitting a claim for a Mishimoto Product damaged in an accident). In addition, if requested by Mishimoto, you must also send the Mishimoto Product for which a claim is being made, all transportation expenses prepaid, to Mishimoto.
