All Weather

The white-output version is perfect for general visibility, while the Yellow-output version excels in rain, snow, or fog. Morimoto has chosen Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs, producing yellow light at the source for the best penetration through particles in the air. This method outperforms filtering white light through a yellow lens, which often lacks actual performance benefits in poor weather.

Reliability

With great power comes great responsibility, and the 4Banger is built to last. A copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB maximizes heat transfer to the radiator, ensuring reliability through rigorous thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to prevent flaking, while potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gaskets meet IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. If you?re after a high-performance, street-legal LED pod for fog lights, both the NCS and HXB Wide beam models meet SAE J583 standards. Some areas require auxiliary lights to be covered during everyday driving, and our optional Blackout Covers fit all Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods easily, allowing for quick removal when needed.

The Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods are designed to set a new standard in their category, and the same goes for the optional wire harness. Every component of the harness has been meticulously crafted for top performance. Enjoy a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, a specialized over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, dual-sealed DT06-2S female outputs, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a unique M-Spec push button switch with a Yellow-LED backlight.
