We used LucidShape to optimize performance around the latest, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia, and SolidWorks helped us fine-tune the thermal dynamics. Choose from three industry-leading beam patterns: Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo. This is a design that?s truly patent pending!

All Weather

For those who need visibility in all conditions, the white-output version is perfect. If you're often driving in rain, snow, or fog, the yellow-output version will perform beautifully in tricky weather. Morimoto has chosen Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs that produce yellow light right from the source, effectively cutting through particles in the air without sacrificing output. Unlike filtering white light through a yellow lens, this method delivers real performance benefits in poor weather.

Reliability

With great power comes great responsibility, and we?ve put a lot of effort into ensuring the reliability of the 4Banger NCS. High power can lead to high heat, which is why we?ve equipped these lights with a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that maximizes heat transfer to the radiator. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to prevent flaking, and the potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket are all designed to meet IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. If you're searching for a high-performance, street-legal LED pod for fog lights, both the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models are SAE J583 compliant. Keep in mind that some localities may require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving. To comply, our optional Blackout Covers fit all Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods and install easily with a friction + clip fit, allowing for quick removal.

Power Up

The Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods are crafted from the ground up to set a new standard in their segment, and the same goes for the optional wire harness. We didn?t overlook a single component for the sake of cost or simplicity. Each harness features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, a specially designed over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with a yellow LED backlight.
