Engineered Fitment

We?ve put the Morimoto A-Pillar kit for the 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado through rigorous design, prototyping, and testing to ensure it fits perfectly. Everything aligns with the pre-existing mounting points, allowing for a truly modification-free installation. We know this is a basic requirement, but you?d be surprised by the poor fitment we found with other well-known brands during our development process!

Branches Beware

Our brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. Trust us, the side mirrors on your Silverado will give way long before our A-Pillar kit shows any sign of flexing!

All Weather

For all-around visibility, the white-output version is your best bet. But if you often drive in rain, snow, or fog, the yellow-output version is a game changer. We use Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs that produce yellow light right from the source, which effectively cuts through particles in the air without sacrificing brightness. Unlike filtering white light through a yellow lens, this method offers real performance benefits in poor weather.

Reliability

With great power comes great responsibility! We?ve worked hard to ensure the reliability of our product. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that maximizes heat transfer to the radiator, optimized through extensive thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking, while the potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket are designed to meet IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

Wiring and Cable Management

No one likes messy wiring! That's why we've integrated multiple mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket's stem to guide the input wiring from your LED pods neatly into the engine bay. From there, you can easily plug and play with Morimoto?s switched relay wire harness for a clean and reliable installation.

Performance

Every aspect of our patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light is proprietary. We used LucidShape to optimize performance around the latest, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. Our optics are produced to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics have been fine-tuned using SolidWorks. The 4Banger is available in three industry-leading beam patterns to meet all your needs: Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo.

HXB Combo Beam

This beam illuminates a clear path with medium range, providing a perfect blend of width and distance. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot with a 10V degree spread has been finely tuned to create an ideal flood beam, making your everyday drives in remote areas much more comfortable. The 4Banger HXB Combo is a fantastic complement to any high-performance headlights.

HXB Spot Beam

Need to see far into the distance? The HXB Spot is unmatched in its ability to do just that. With the most powerful Osram LEDs, this beam pattern can penetrate up to 800 meters ahead. No matter how fast you're going, you won't outpace your vision with the 4Banger HXB Spots.

HXB Wide Beam

This beam shines directly on the ground right in front of your vehicle. Featuring dual-axis control, the HXB Optics ensure width and peak intensity are perfectly aligned, resembling an SAE-Compliant fog light pattern but with added intensity thanks to the Osram HX Boost LEDs. The 4Banger HXB Wide beam is the ultimate off-road LED fog light.

NCS Combo Beam

Similar to the HXB Combo, this beam offers medium-range illumination with a perfect balance of width and distance, making those long drives in the middle of nowhere a lot more pleasant. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot with a 10V degree spread is finely tuned for optimal performance.

NCS Spot Beam

This beam is designed for long-range visibility, featuring a focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam. While it may not be as powerful as the HXB Spot, when paired with NCS Combos, you?ll have no trouble spotting deer from afar.

NCS Wide Beam

Perfect for illuminating the area directly in front of your vehicle, the NCS Wide Beam produces a broad light that significantly improves visibility off to the sides of the road. Its superior vertical gradient control minimizes glare for oncoming traffic, and when mounted correctly in the fog light position, it complies with the latest SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights.

Power Up

The Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods are engineered from the ground up to set a new standard in their class, and our optional wire harness is no exception. Every component has been meticulously designed without compromise. You?ll find a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, dual-sealed DT06-2S female outputs, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with amber LED backlight.

Compatibility

While our A-Pillar brackets are a perfect match for the 4Banger LED pods, they?re also compatible with LED pods from many other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams meet SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, while the Wide beam complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Some areas require auxiliary lights to be covered during regular driving; for that, our optional Blackout Covers fit all Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods perfectly and can be installed or removed in seconds.
