Engineered Fitment

Designed specifically for the 2009-2014 Ford F-150, Morimoto's A-Pillar kit has undergone extensive design, prototyping, and testing directly on the truck to ensure a flawless fit. Everything aligns perfectly with existing mounting points, making for a truly modification-free installation. We know this should be a given, but you wouldn't believe the poor fit we saw from other well-known brands during development. It was quite surprising!

Branches Beware

Each bracket is meticulously laser cut from 304 stainless steel, then electroplated and powder-coated. Put simply, the side mirrors on your F-150 will give out long before our A-Pillar kit shows any signs of wear!

All Weather

The white-output version is perfect for general visibility. If you need top-notch performance in rain, snow, or fog, the Yellow-output version is your best bet for tricky weather. Morimoto has chosen Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs that generate yellow light at the source, making them incredibly effective at cutting through particles in the air without sacrificing output. Using a yellow lens over white light might look good, but it doesn?t deliver the same performance in poor weather.

Reliability

With great power comes great responsibility, and we've put in a lot of effort to ensure the reliability of this product. High power means high heat, which is why the 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that maximizes heat transfer to the radiator. This has been fine-tuned through several rounds of thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to prevent flaking, and the potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket are designed to meet IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

Wiring and Cable Management

No messy wiring here! We've added multiple mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket stem to guide the input wiring from your LED pods neatly into the engine bay. From there, you can easily plug in with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness for a clean and reliable setup.

Performance

Just like the brackets, every aspect of the patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light is proprietary. We utilized LucidShape to optimize performance around the latest, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. Our optics are crafted to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics have been fine-tuned using SolidWorks. The 4Banger comes in three industry-leading beam patterns to meet all your needs: Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo.

HXB Combo Beam

This beam illuminates a clear path with medium range, blending width and distance for comfortable driving in remote areas. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot, with a 10V degree spread at the center, is perfectly tuned for an ideal flood beam. The 4Banger HXB Combo is a fantastic companion to any set of high-performance headlights.

HXB Spot Beam

Reach far into the distance like never before! The HXB Spot is equipped with powerful Osram LEDs, and together with the HXB LED optics, it creates a beam pattern that penetrates up to 800 meters ahead. No matter how fast you're going, you'll never outrun your ability to see with the 4Banger HXB Spots.

HXB Wide Beam

This beam lights up the ground right in front of your vehicle. The HXB Optics feature dual-axis control?one for width and another for active hot spot control to project peak intensity at the top of the beam pattern. The vertical gradient resembles an SAE-Compliant fog light pattern, but with enhanced intensity thanks to the Osram HX Boost LEDs. The 4Banger HXB Wide beam offers the best mix of width, intensity, and control, making it the ultimate off-road LED fog light.

NCS Combo Beam

Similar to the HXB Combo, this beam provides a blend of width and distance illumination for comfortable driving in remote areas. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot with a 10V degree spread at the center is perfectly tuned for an ideal flood beam, making the 4Banger NCS Combo a great partner for any high-performance headlights.

NCS Spot Beam

This beam shines well into the distance with a focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam, making it ideal for long-range visibility. While it may not be as powerful as the 4Banger HXB Spot, when paired with NCS Combos, you?ll easily spot deer from afar.

NCS Wide Beam

Perfect for illuminating the ground directly in front of your vehicle, these lights are a great match for high-performance Morimoto headlights. They produce a wide beam that significantly enhances visibility on the sides of the road. Superior vertical gradient control minimizes glare for oncoming traffic, and when properly aimed, the beam pattern from both the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models complies with the latest SAE F regulation for use as street-legal fog lights.

Power Up

The Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods are designed from the ground up to set a new standard in their category, and the optional wire harness follows suit. If you?re looking for the best, you?ve found it! Every component of the harness has been carefully selected for quality and performance. It features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, dual-sealed DT06-2S female outputs, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push button switch with an amber-LED backlight.

Compatibility

While our A-Pillar brackets pair perfectly with the 4Banger LED pods, they?re also compatible with LED pods from many other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams meet SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, while the Wide beam model complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Some areas require auxiliary lights to be covered for regular driving. To comply, we offer optional Blackout Covers that fit all Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods. They install easily with a friction + clip fit and can be removed in seconds.
